Real-time simulation and inverters for electric drives

OverDrive validates your inverter software up to 32 times faster than conventional simulation tools – physically exact. Our 48 V inverters take the drive onto the road and into the air. Both from a single source.

Products

Two products. One goal: a working drive, faster.

We simulate the drive we build – and build the drive we simulate. That is why our software and our hardware fit together, from the first model to series production.

Software

OverDrive – real-time simulation of electric drives

OverDrive simulates motor, inverter and control in a physically consistent way – and up to 32 times faster than conventional simulation tools. It is built on structure-preserving integrators: they conserve energy, momentum and charge over the entire simulation and stay stable even with large time steps.

Validate your inverter software before the hardware exists – as an FMU directly in Simulink, CarMaker or your co-simulation environment.

Hardware

INV-60V-120A inverter – 48 V power electronics with field-oriented control

Compact inverter for drives from 17 to 60 V with 6 kW continuous power – as a housed variant, an embedded board or an Aero variant from 108 grams. Field-oriented control (FOC), CAN and DroneCAN interface, full telemetry and integrated protection functions – designed for compactness, reliability and flexibility.

For UAVs, traction drives and mobile machinery. Several inverters on the same bus are detected and addressed automatically; parameterization and firmware updates run over CAN. New in the family: the GaN inverter INV-120V-40A with 99.125 % efficiency for long-endurance flight – all models in the inverter overview.

Why Persystems

Physics that makes it into series production.

Physics instead of approximation

Our algorithms come from geometric mechanics. They preserve the structure of the physical system – and therefore deliver results that are still correct after millions of time steps.

Software and hardware from a single source

OverDrive and our inverters are developed by the same team. That shortens development cycles and avoids surprises on the test bench.

Tested on our own test bench

We measure inverters and motors on our own test bench in Regensburg – with power analyzer, torque transducer and continuous CAN logging.

Direct line to the engineers

You talk to the engineers who developed the software and the hardware. No detours, clear answers.
